Battery Status is a super handy app for Mac OS X that helps you keep track of the battery details for all your wireless devices connected to your Mac. It works with a bunch of Apple gadgets like keyboards, mice, trackpads, and even laptops. Plus, it doesn’t stop there; it also supports Logitech's Performance MX mouse! How cool is that?

Check Your Battery Life

This nifty utility can give you the lowdown on when your battery might die, how long it’s been since you last replaced it, and what percentage of battery life you’ve got left. So, no more guessing games about whether you need to plug in!

Your MacBook’s Battery Info

Battery Status shows important info about your MacBook’s internal battery too. You can see the current charge percentage, how many times the battery has charged up (that’s called charge cycles), and even get an estimate of how long your battery will last before it runs out.

Menu Bar Features

The menu bar item is pretty neat as well! It displays the percentage of the design capacity that your battery can actually use. Plus, it tries to guess how long it'll take for your battery to fully charge back up.

Share Battery Status with Others

If you've got multiple Macs connected through a local network, Battery Status lets you share their battery status with each other! Just click on the “Broadcast” and “Receive” options from the Preferences window to make this happen.

User-Friendly Preferences Window

The Preferences window is split into three sections: Menu Icons, Notifications, and Networking. Under Menu Icons, you can choose how you'd like info displayed—whether that's showing percentages next to icons or switching things up between black and white or green when plugged in.

Customize Notifications and Networking

If you're worried about missing alerts or want some control over notifications, check out the Notifications tab. And don’t forget about the Networking tab! Here you can switch on those Broadcast and Receive functions we mentioned earlier.
