Description
Batteries
Batteries is here to help you keep tabs on all your devices' battery levels in one place. With so many of our gadgets going wireless, it can be a real hassle when you find out your device is dead right when you need it. This app works with all your Apple gadgets like your MacBook, iPhone, iPad, keyboard, mouse, trackpad, and AirPods.
Track Your Devices
The cool thing about Batteries is that it lets you monitor the battery status from the Notification Center on your Mac. Plus, it can even send you alerts when any of your devices are running low on juice!
Getting Started with Batteries
First off, make sure your Mac can get battery info from all your devices. If you're using Mojave, just turn on Wi-Fi sync in iTunes. If you're on Catalina, check the box for Show this device when on Wi-Fi in Finder.
Connect and Configure
Once you've done that, any devices connected to the same network will start sending their battery info to your Mac. After setting everything up, open Batteries and choose which devices should notify you when their charge drops below 20%. You can even turn off notifications if you'd rather not be bothered.
Add It to Your Notification Center
The next step? Add the Batteries widget to your Notification Center! This way, you'll always know how much battery life each device has left. No more surprises when it's time to recharge!
A Few Limitations
Keep in mind that this app only works for devices connected to the same network. So if a device isn't connected, you're out of luck—but that's just how these things work.
A Great Tool for Everyone
If you've got several Apple devices linked together at work or home, Batteries is a fantastic tool. It helps prevent those annoying moments when you discover that your iPhone or AirPods are about to die right before heading out.
