Background Eraser is a super handy app for your Mac. It makes removing backgrounds from your photos super easy using a few simple editing tools!
To start using Background Eraser, just load up a photo. You can do this by dragging and dropping it right from your Mac's hard drive onto the app or by using the "Open" menu.
Once your image is loaded, you get to pick from three awesome tools: "Extract objects", "Remove with brush", and "Fix image". Each one has its own unique skills to help you out.
The "Extract objects" tool is one of the most powerful brushes in Background Eraser. It lets you put a mask over the parts you want to keep or remove. You can easily switch between "area to keep" and "area to remove" modes, plus adjust the brush size using your mouse scroll wheel. Just click on "Deep etch image" to see those changes happen!
If you need something more precise, check out the "Remove with brush" tool. This one lets you manually brush away parts of the background, and you can change the size and intensity of the brush as needed.
If at any point you're not happy with how things turned out, no worries! You can easily undo changes or bring back some parts of the background using Background Eraser's handy "Fix image" brush.
When you're finished editing, Background Eraser lets you save your photos either with or without a background. Just hit that "Save image with background toggling" button at the bottom of the window!
Background Eraser is a small but mighty OS X app that makes it simpler and more fun to remove backgrounds compared to other complex photo editors out there. Give it a try!
