Description

Computers and newborns do not mix that well, especially if you have a lot of data left on your computer and your young one decides to play and randomly touch your machine's keyboard. Since you'd probably like to teach the young generation about technology, you can't help but wonder how to mix the two. Well, I've got the answer for you, and it's named BabySmash.

This program was developed by a parent like yourself. It was created as a sort of baby game, where pushing buttons, clicking, and interacting with a machine's keyboard populates the screen with all sorts of signs, letters, colors, and flashy items. It's an educative application, too, meaning that each key press will render an audio file explaining the letter or symbol's name. That's pretty cool indeed.

I found it was most helpful with curious children who really want to interact with the brightly colored machine in front of them. Not only do you stimulate their curiosity, but you also make sure they get something educative out of their fun experience. You've shot two birds with one stone.

In terms of how the app behaves, there are some slight changes one can make. How fast will older items on the screen disappear? Should sound be activated, should the cursor be present, and what font are you going to choose for the whole app procedure? All of these are questions you'll have to answer if you'd like a more tailored experience.

Changes to the items also include having all letters shown in upper or lowercase, shapes with faces, and transparent app background for an even more exhilarating experience, for you more than your child. BabySmash is the right application for any parent with a PC and a desire to introduce their child to this machine in the most harmless way possible.
