AutoActions is a pretty cool tool that Microsoft introduced with Windows 10 build 21337. It’s designed to make your gaming experience way better by enabling Auto HDR visuals on over a thousand DirectX 11 and DirectX 12 games. How awesome is that?

What is Auto HDR?

So, here’s the deal: some computers have this feature turned off, and it can be a bit tricky to figure out how to get it going. But don’t worry! That’s where AutoActions comes into play. This handy tool helps you turn on the HDR mode automatically without any hassle.

Getting Started with AutoActions

The app isn’t exactly portable, but it’s super easy to use! Just download it and unpack it wherever you want. Once you’ve got it set up, the first thing you need to do is create a profile. Don’t sweat it; this process is straightforward! You can find all the instructions in the Profiles tab.

Customizing Your Experience

You’ll be able to choose what actions happen when certain applications start or close. Plus, you can decide which apps should gain focus or lose focus when you're gaming. Want to tweak your refresh rate or resolution? You can do that too for any program you like!

Monitor Configuration

If you're unsure about your monitor settings, check out the Monitors tab in the app. Here, you'll see device names, resolutions, and whether Auto HDR is enabled or not. It gives you a clear overview of everything!
