IslamicFinder Athan (Azan) Basic is a super user-friendly app that helps remind you of your prayer times and shows you the Qiblah direction. It’s especially great for Muslims living far from home since it can calculate and display prayer times for over six million cities worldwide.

Setting Up Your Location

When you first open the app, it prompts you to pick your exact location—just choose your country and city! This is key for the app to work correctly. The app will automatically find your geographical coordinates, and you can also decide whether or not to enable daylight saving time.

User Interface Overview

The main screen might look a bit crowded at first. It shows the current time, date, prayer times for today, your location, and the calculation method. But once you've set your location, you can switch to a compact view that only shows the prayer times along with the 'Select Athan' option.

Athan Notifications

This software plays the traditional call-to-prayer known as Athan. It runs quietly in the system tray, and when it’s time for one of the five daily prayers—Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, or Isha—it automatically plays a notification sound. You can pick from different sounds like Makkah, Madina, Al-Aqsa, Egypt or even choose no sound at all.

Customizable Prayer Calculation Methods

You’ve got several options for how prayer times are calculated too! You can choose from methods like Muslim World League or Egyptian General Authority of Survey. Plus, you have control over how accurate the timing should be by adjusting minutes for each prayer time.

Extra Features

The app also includes some handy tools like a Hijri-Gregorian date converter, an Athan text viewer, a Quran recitation tool, and a special Islamic days viewer!
