What is ArduGate?

ArduGate

ArduGate is a super handy tool for anyone working with Arduino microcontrollers. This little project acts like a web gateway, letting you control your Arduino right from your web browser using JavaScript. How cool is that?

What Does ArduGate Do?

So, here’s the deal: you don’t even have to install anything! Just double-click the executable file after you unzip it, and you're good to go. There’s a plain text file included with instructions on how to connect your Arduino device through the web browser.

Do You Need an Arduino?

Yep! To make this all work, you'll need an Arduino device. If you’ve never worked with microcontrollers before, the documentation might be a little tricky to follow, but don’t worry; it’s not impossible!

Browser Compatibility

The great news is that ArduGate works with all major web browsers. When you launch it, it opens up a demo page in whatever browser is set as default on your system. The connection goes through port 8880—just like that!

Control Your Arduino Pins

The demo page gives you access to both analog and digital pins on your Arduino board. Every time you click something on the page, it reflects right back on the Arduino board! You can play around with functions like pinMode, digtialRead/digitalWrite, and even read/write from EEPROM.

A Simple Way to Control Your Board

If you're already familiar with using an Arduino, getting started with ArduGate should be a breeze! It’s just an easy way to manage everything using your browser.
