AnyEdit is a super handy Eclipse plug-in that brings a bunch of cool new tools right to your text context menu. It adds new options to Eclipse editors, output consoles, and even the main menu and toolbar. Plus, it helps you with Import/Export working sets wizards—pretty neat, right?
With AnyEdit, you can easily see whitespace like tabs and spaces in your editors. It also lets you use custom project settings for converting tab spaces automatically when you save your work.
This plug-in can convert tabs to spaces for multiple files or even entire directories! It also supports file exclusion filters if you need to skip certain files during the conversion process.
AnyEdit takes care of those pesky trailing whitespaces for you. It can automatically remove them or convert tabs to spaces whenever you hit “save” in any text-based Eclipse editor. And if the last line of your file doesn’t have a new line at the end, it’ll create one for you!
This plug-in adds some really useful buttons like “Save All,” “Open File,” and even a button to show whitespace in the global Eclipse toolbar. You can also get rid of the “Print” button since it's not needed on Linux systems.
AnyEdit enhances output consoles by adding actions such as “Open File,” “Open Type,” and “Save to file…” along with a handy toolbar button for saving directly from the Console view.
The plug-in adds four fresh context menu actions under "Compare With" and "Replace With" menus in both editors and files. This makes comparing content easier than ever!
