animbar is an open source command-line application designed to help users generate output for an animation technique known as picket fence animation or barrier grid animation.
animbar allows users to load from and save to numerous image formats, including JPG, GIF, PNG, or TIF, set the animation at variable pixel width, as well as to preview animation per software.
In short, the software lets users to easily create their very own animation on transparency and paper. The animation technique described here is also known as Moiré animation, and it has been used for hundreds of years.
