Allchars is a handy tool that helps you insert special characters into your text. You know how sometimes you need those cool symbols or characters that aren’t on your keyboard? Well, this software makes it super easy! You can use it in lots of text editors, either through the Character Map or built-in tools. But why not go straight to the good stuff with Allchars for inserting special characters and text macros easily.

Easy Setup and Features

The setup takes a bit of time, but once you're in, you get to explore all its cool features. It lives quietly in your system tray, but you'll want to pull up the main window eventually to see all the commands for triggering those special characters you need.

Character Groups Galore!

The main window has a neat side panel that shows off all the character groups. This leaves plenty of room for you to see related characters. You can pick from groups like accents, currency symbols, copyright signs, fractions, ligatures, lines and dots, math symbols, punctuation marks, quotation marks, runic letters, superscripts and even more random characters!

Intuitive Hotkeys

You can’t edit the hotkey commands for inserting characters—this might sound limiting—but they’re actually really intuitive! They combine a couple of keyboard buttons that show parts of the resulting characters. Just remember to press the Ctrl key right before hitting those hotkeys—just don’t hold it down!

Create Custom Text Macros

One of my favorite things about Allchars is its text macro tool. It works just like the character inserter but gives you more customization options. It even comes with some examples to help you get started quickly! You can easily set up a long string of text that pops up with just a custom combo of keys.
