What is aktSmart?

aktSmart

aktSmart is a cool Java-based app that helps organization leaders manage their human resources. It makes it easy to assign tasks to team members and keep track of who’s doing what. This way, everyone knows their job and can stay on top of things.

Components of aktSmart

The program has two main parts: aktSmart and aktSmartServer. To get aktSmart running smoothly, you need to start the aktSmartServer using the Command Prompt. It doesn’t just let you drag and drop; you’ll have to change directories step by step until you launch aktSmartServer.jar. This server should always be running on your organization's computer so that everyone else can connect through aktSmart.

User Connection and Access

The aktSmartServer opens up a port (4444) for users to connect with their login details. The default admin username is 'Admin' and the password is 'admin_password'. Once logged in, the admin can do all sorts of tasks related to roles and responsibilities.

Role Management Features

With aktSmart, the admin gets some handy tools for 'Role Management'. You can add new users along with their ID and password, then give them one or more roles. In the 'Activities of Role' section, it’s possible to create new roles for your organization. Just name each role and add a message or job description for it along with a level like 'Above', 'Below', or 'None'.

Assigning Roles Made Easy

The 'Role Assignment' feature lets admins allocate specific tasks to users based on their roles. Plus, there's a 'Role Order' section where admins can pick each role and assign them levels compared to others. All these settings are super flexible—managers can easily add, remove, edit, or assign roles, activities, tasks, and positions as needed.
