AeroPeek11 is here to help you out if you've been feeling a bit lost since the Windows 11 update. When Windows 11 dropped, it felt like a strange move because everyone was happy with Windows 10. So, it was hard to see why we needed a new operating system at all. While Windows 11 comes with some fresh looks and major security updates, it also took away some useful features from its predecessor—like Aero Peek!
If you're scratching your head over missing Aero Peek, you're not alone. Many users have found that the new context menus are tricky and that they really miss being able to peek at their open windows quickly. Thankfully, app developers stepped in to save the day! AeroPeek11 brings back that handy feature!
Getting started with AeroPeek11 is super easy. All you need to do is unpack the downloaded file and run the executable. The app itself is pretty straightforward; its main job is simply to restore the peeking feature without any hassle.
Once you're in the app, you'll see a button called Position Peek. This allows you to choose where you want the peeking action to happen. You can place it anywhere that works for you and save those settings. After that, just hover your mouse over that area whenever you need a quick view of what's open on your desktop.
If later on you decide that you'd like to change where your peeking area is located, you'll have to go about it a little differently. After saving your initial setup, a config file named AeroPeek11.cfg gets created in the app's folder. To move things around, you'll need to delete this config file and start fresh.
For our setup, we positioned our peeking area just like it was on Windows 10—down in the bottom-right corner of the taskbar near where the date and time are displayed. And guess what? It worked perfectly! If you're missing this feature from Windows 10, we totally recommend giving AeroPeek11 a try!
