Before you get too excited, just a heads up: this software hasn’t been updated in a while and doesn’t support the latest Windows versions. But if you have an older system, you’re in luck!

How to Use Active Lock

Once you install it, just plug in your USB drive to your computer and launch the program to start configuring settings. You’ll need to choose the drive letter for your USB from a list. This way, every time your computer starts up, it’ll prompt you to insert that specific USB key for access. Without it, you'll need to reset or shut down your PC.

Locking Your Computer Automatically

The cool part? The machine will lock itself automatically when you unplug the drive! Plus, Active Lock can work even when booting Windows in safe mode; just restart your PC to get going.

Easily Change Settings

If at any point you want to change things back, just go back into the main configuration panel. Simply disable the program after selecting the correct drive letter of your USB key.

Create Multiple Access Keys

Another neat feature is that you can create a USB access key that works on multiple computers. So whether you're at home or work, you can use the same device to lock and unlock both PCs!

No Performance Issues

During our tests with Active Lock, we didn’t encounter any stability issues—it didn’t freeze or crash at all! Plus, it barely affected performance.
