ABBREVW is a cool little application that helps you keep track of abbreviations. It's a menu-oriented Windows program, making it super easy to view and manage your list of acronyms. You can create abbreviations that are up to 7 characters long, and the explanations can be any text up to 69 characters.
This app shows one or more sorted lists of abbreviations. You can easily add new entries, change existing ones, or even delete them if you no longer need them. Plus, it has a handy search feature for finding duplicates in your lists. If you've got multiple abbreviation lists, you can merge them into one simple list!
The interface is really intuitive, so even if you're not tech-savvy, you'll feel right at home using ABBREVW. It remembers your last used settings by saving them in a file called ABBREVW.SET. This means when you open the program next time, it automatically pulls up the same abbreviation files you were using before.
You don't have to worry about where those settings are saved either! Normally, they're stored in the same folder as the program itself. But if you want to switch things up, you can set a different directory for your settings using a DOS environment variable named SETTING.
NOTE: You can use and copy this program freely without any charge! Just remember that it's meant only for non-commercial purposes.
